About Our Speaker
Isabel Moyer serves as the Research Assistant and Education Coordinator for the Florida Manta Project. A lifelong Palm Beach County resident, she grew up in Jupiter, and that upbringing sparked her passion for marine biology. She earned a B.S. in Marine Science and a B.A. in Animal Studies from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. While there, she completed a NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Fellowship conducting ecological research in the Marianas Trench.
The Talk
The Florida Manta Project launched in 2016 as the first long term study of manta rays anywhere in the continental U.S. Since then, the team has used plane, boat, and drone based surveys to uncover the mysteries hiding in Florida's waters, including the discovery of an entirely new manta species. Join us as we celebrate 10 years of discovery and look ahead at the manta mysteries still waiting to be solved.
Ask Away
Bring your questions! Isabel will open the floor for an interactive Q&A, so you can dig into marine conservation, current research, and the ways you can get involved.
Meet the Community
This is your chance to connect with fellow marine enthusiasts, conservationists, and Kyalami Divers members. Come share your passion for the ocean and learn from others working to protect it.
