Bubble Maker Program

STARTING AT $195

  • Who should take this program?
Bubblemaker is as fun as it sounds – a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving. Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water. Have a party or celebrate a birthday by throwing a memorable, exciting Bubblemaker event with friends and family at your home or a pool we work with..

A child must be 8 years old or older. Kids must be comfortable in the water, but no prior experience is necessary. Parental approval is required.

    What will your child learn?
    Bubblemakers get a chance to:

    • Experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a PADI Pro.

    • Take their first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres/6 feet.

    • Learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children – not adults.

    • Have lots of fun.

What scuba gear will you use?
In the Bubblemaker program, participants get a basic introduction to how to use scuba gear, how to clear a regulator and mask, and an overview of breathing do’s and don’ts. One of our instructors will advise you about anything else you need.

Discover Scuba Course

$250

  • Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.

While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

    The Fun Part
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge instructors have with the Discover Scuba Diving program is not coaxing participants into the water, but coaxing them out when the program is over. The fun part? It’s all fun!

You learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a professional. One thing you’ll learn is that you really can breathe underwater and whether you like doing that or not. You will:

    • Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it

    • Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and learn whether you can be comfortable there

    • Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step

    The Scuba Gear You Use:
All the equipment you will need is in the Discover Scuba Diving experience. You’ll use all the basic scuba gear including a mask, fins, a buoyancy compensating jacket that also carries your scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth, time and air supply.

Prerequisites: You must be 10 years of age and in good health.

Cost: $250 including the use of all the equipment.

Your Next Adventure: Once you complete a Discover Scuba Diving program, you’ll want to check out the Open Water Diver certification course.

Nitrox Diver Certification

$250 (Elearning Included)

  • Enriched Air, also known as “nitrox”, is a form of breathing gas that allows divers to extend bottom time and reduce nitrogen loading. It is PADI's most popular specialty course. After completing your online learning you'll apply the knowledge you've learned by practicing procedures for obtaining and analyzing enriched air with your PADI Instructor. You also have the option of completing two open water enriched air dives. This certification counts towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.

We recommend all divers get Nitrox certified. Our reefs are deeper—and Nitrox = more bottom time.

Deep and navigation are mandatory and you can choose from several others to round out the five, including some of our favorite like drift, boat, and wreck dives, as well as fish ID or peak buoyancy.

Rescue Diver Certification

$1,000

  • The Rescue Diver course is an important and crucial step in expanding a diver's knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level. This Rescue Diver rating is a prerequisite for all leadership training (Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Open Water Scuba Instructor).

The course is designed to be enjoyable but the nature and context in which such training may be used is quite serious. And as in training in similar fields of emergency care, the primary objective of this course is to prevent the need for use of rescue skills.

You will complete training in areas like:

    • Self-rescue and diver stress

    • Emergency oxygen delivery systems

    • Dive related first-aid

    • Emergency management and equipment

    • Panicked diver response

During the course you will expand your diving theory and knowledge to the professional level. Then, in an especially fulfilling aspect of the course, you'll learn carefully designed techniques for supervising diving activities and assisting divers with training.

The class is broken down into 3 phases:

    • Watermanship and Skills Assessment

    • Knowledge Development

Working divers, such as public safety divers, use full face masks because they protect the eyes and nose from contaminants in the water, provide comfort in cold water, and allow for communication. You need to be a PADI Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old to enroll in the Full Face Mask Diver course.

DSMB Specialty
(Delayed Surface Marker Buoy)

$250

Boats and currents are two common factors associated with many dive sites. Boaters don't always recognize that divers are in the area and current can carry you further than expected. Launching a delayed surface marker buoy (DSMB) before you surface can alert others to your location in advance of your ascent. Adding another layer of safety, you can also use the DSMB line to complete your safety stop, which is advantageous in a current or when there are no other visual references. Take this course to learn about all the beneficial uses of a DSMB.

You need to be a PADI Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old to enroll in the DSMB Diver course.
